efos:mobile
EFOS:Mobile uses Smartphone technology to transmit vital data securely back to the EFOS database.
The application stores up important operational information (such as the OOOI
message, crew names, duty times, fuel uplift etc.) and then transmits this when a suitable WiFi, 3G, GPRS or GSM signal is available.
Transmission costs using mobile phone networks are a fraction of those incurred when using data-link systems such as ACARS.
For operators who do not have on-board data-link systems EFOS:Mobile is a much more cost effective and reliable alternative to the
practice of faxing journey logs back to the home base.
By using data validation the software ensures that the data is clean and not prone the usual errors associated with handwritten reports.
EFOS:Mobile can be configured to collect all the information required to complete an electronic journey log. This data is required for crew
scheduling compliance reasons and also assists in tracking aircraft movements for operational or engineering scheduling purposes.
